The view of road junction between Naberezhne Szose and Avtostrada.

[1959, з колекції Віталія Баканова]

Наводницька

The view of Navodnycka Pl. and Novo-Navodnycka vul. In a few years trams will come here with newly opened route # 5 with the same termini as its predecessor (Kontraktova Pl. – Budynok Oficeriv (Army Officers House)) but now via Staronavodnycka vul. (seen on the left part of a frame).

[1959, з колекції Віталія Баканова]

трамзупинка

Tram and bus stop “Paton Bridge” with a pavilion located a bit away from tracks. A tram traffic light is also worth attention. The houses will remain for about dozen of years before this area will be converted into a park.

роз’їзд роз’їзд

At the intersection near “Paton Bridge” stop. МТВ-82 # 1550 (most probably route 27) bounds for Darnycia, while Т-3 # 5332 bounds for Podil, and T-3 train 5152/5153 (route 31) approaches from the opposite direction.

автострада-1

The view of Avtostrada (nowadays Bd. Druzhby Narodiv). Accoring to first postwar plans tram line had to be built here. However, these plans were soon withdrawn and buses provided a link between these parts. Pictured is ЛАЗ-695Б on newly opened bus route 14.

автострада-2 автострада-2

Picture taken couple of years later with the same route 14, which gained popularity and now serviced by Ikarus-180. Traffic jam looks like today with the only difference that there were too many trucks those days…

One more view of tram stop Berezniaky. This time we can see two T-3 from Krasin depot servicing line 27.
