This gallery will contain many pictures of T-2 which arrived to Lukjanivske depot at the beginning of 1960 and started their service on route 28.

Several pictures form Kontraktova Pl. with different types of trams – T-2 and T-3 servicing route 21 as well as КТВ-57 servicing route 16.

Here two КТВ-57 (2012 and 2010, route 16) pictured together with T-3 train 5147/5148 (route 31) together with technical assistance car АВ-2 (ex-2014). Taking into account that 2014 was withdrawn from passenger service in 1969, we may assume that this picture was taken that year or later.

One of T-2 from the last batch at the background of old Podil houses at what is nowadays called vul. Sahajdacznoho. Most of these houses can be seen today but there are no trees anymore. Those ten T-2 were delivered to Darnycke depot in October 1962.

Now it is pretty hard to imagine such an appearance of Naberezhne Szose, but it was until mid-1980s when this stretch was reconstructed. T-2 # 5012 bounds for Podil with stay cables of newly built Pedestrian Bridge.

In 1965 МТВ-82 were the most common type on route 28, especially from depot Krasina, one of them can be seen bound for Paton Bridge.

n 1960 tram monopoly in this area was broken by metro. First metro cars arrived from Moscow and pictured at Darnycia railway station, from where they were delivered following tram track right to the metro turntable and lift near “Dnipro” metro station.

Tram turntable near “Dnipro” metro station was inaugurated on April 2, 1965. It was used by trams that connected during morning and evening rush hours housing estate on left bank with the only metro station that in those days was on their way.

T-2 5050 is ready to leave tram turntable. Apart from very special cases trams servicing route 28 did not use the turntable. The main tram line can be seen nearby with T-3 train bounds for left bank.
