Brief description
Trolleybus line Irsza – Vyszeviczi – Radomyszl is an example of rather unique project when for the first time in the history of Ukrainian trolleybus the connection between several villages was planned to be established. This was predetermined by fuel shortage that discontinued regular bus service between relatively big Radomyszl and railway station Irsza, from where direct railway link with Kiev was provided. The total length of planned line was 33 km. It was planned that this line will be serviced by two passenger and two freight trolleybuses.
In 1994 the implementation of the first part started with road widening between Irsza and Vyszeviczi (16 km). Three K-11Y were ordered in Kiev (KZET), one of them arrived in 1995 and was placed at the “depot” (part of the territory of what is nowadays “Vyszeviczi Agrotechnika”). Although, poles were mounted but neither corbel, nor catenary were acquired. As a result the only K-11Y was left in depot till ca. end of 1996, afterwards it was sold with a discount to Czernivci (in service between 1997 and 2004 with the roster number 2003). Poles remained for several years but then suddenly disappeared and now nothing reminds about this project, except some memoirs. However, it is still possible to see these rather nice places, which could have attracted more people with cameras if there were some trolls.
